A year-long community diary project by Philadelphians
Inspired by vlogs, money diaries, general oversharing on the Internet, Amy Rose Spiegel’s “Enormous Eye” project, reality television confessional rooms, “what’s in my bag” videos, our Instagram feeds, group projects, Grub Street Diet, the city of Philadelphia and Philadelphians, and out general impulse to document our lives, I bring you a year-long diary project.
I found 366 Philadelphians (it’s a leap year) who are willing to keep a diary for one randomly- assigned day of 2024.
The diary can look like anything:
photos with or without captions
a vlog
a playlist
a timestamped, written journal of anything that feels worth writing about
whatever you ate that day
texts you sent
a strava map of everywhere you went that day
Literally anything! The only criteria is that you have to live in Philly and be willing to share what you get up to on one day in 2024.
